Like paisley, parquet is one word that I know what looks like but needed a dictionary to explain to me what it actually looks like. For most people, I would assume that we have the same dilemma and I think it's just fascinating that we always have somewhere to double check. Today, we have a list that would showcase how stunning parquetry actually is.

Whoever we ask in the home design industry, they'd surely agree that stainless steel is a basic part of the kitchen - just with the appliances, you have enough stainless steel in it to take care of. Of course, like all building materials, stainless is something to take care of - it might not be the easiest to maintain, but it sure looks great in the kitchen once it's all clean!

Like the kitchen above, it's actually just the back splash that has the bit of color combination in it since everything around here is in color blocks. The brown cabinets for the refrigerator and the ovens, the white cabinet works by the counters and the kitchen island and even with the flooring. Check out how they used the same tile work for the back splash and the face of the kitchen island.

A while back, we have created a list of beautiful bedrooms with stairs in them - some were loft bedrooms, some has decorative stairs in them while most of them really had functional ones. For the most part, bedrooms that have staircases or stairs in them could mean that they have a space above it - maybe a patio or a veranda or even a small home office, sometimes, it could mean that the bedroom itself is found at a lower portion of the house - maybe a basement or otherwise, just a lower level in the house.

Aside from the stunning wine cabinet that we see at the end of the kitchen bar, check out how sleek and wonderful the color palette used here. White with hints of grey actually really is great especially for kitchens because they help us see how a clean a kitchen should actually be. I am amazed how they used low chairs for the kitchen bar, but then again, they lowered the counters to match the height of the chairs. Noticed that the design of the back rest of the chairs is a bit Asian and it looks real unique and pretty. The display area of the wine sure looks awesome too!

Usually, the sunburst mirrors have fuller looking rays than this one. Of course, I think that this one is just fabulous - I mean, that why I actually made this the first photo in this list. The color of the mirror sure contrasts the color of the wall but complements the decors on the buffet table.

Thos Downtown Huntington Beach cottage has comfortable casual furnishings, light color palette, and a coastal breeze equals a good life. I so like that surf board wall decor! I like the painting on it that matches well with the colors of the throw pillows and sofa. It is a nice idea to add minimal beach themed wall decors to the living space. One of the highlights of the area is that sea horse sculpture. In this living room, it has red colors which are a bold addition to the space. It has coral decors in the area too. For sure your attention was drawn to that huge fish on the wall. Aside from that, there are also beach related decors in it too and I like the textures in the area.

The fireplace becomes a focal point of the home wherever you place it but usually it is seen in the living room and it would have various finishes as well made of different materials. Some would use concrete while still others use wood. But one common material that used for a fireplace from the olden days up to now is the brick stones. These not only look beautiful but it brings a natural look to a home. And once you are tired looking at its natural brick finish, you can always paint it. Yes, brick fireplaces can be painted with whatever colors you want!
